“Ultrashow” show, by Miguel Noguera

Friday Apr 17, 2026 – Friday May 22, 2026 · el Raval

At L'Ultrashow I explain around 20 or 30 idees or mental images, l'una rere l'altra i sense importing massa l'ordre. It lasts approximately an hour or twenty minutes and I am left alone on the scene. The ideas that I use in the spectacle I select them from the material of annotations and drawings that I make daily. It's a comic show, let's face it that ideas don't have to be comedians in and of themselves. To develop certain ideas, I use images projected on a screen (my own drawings, images found on the Internet and photographs taken with the mobile). The to of the discurs pot ser vehement (such as that of a telepreacher or a totalitarian leader) i a vegades becomes col·loquial and irreverent. If I take notes on a paper the titles of the ideas I want to communicate and explain some of them repeatedly over several months, Ultrashow is a monolog with improvised passages and unexpected digressions, straddling the conference and the play. L'Ultrashow begins with an improvised overture song of five to eight minutes in length, which I comment on the continugut i les inciències immediately after having sung. The cant and the seu commentari are followed by the namesake of the visual introduction, which consists of the commentary of a series of slides related to each other for a general idea (the opening song, the commentary on the song and the visual introduction usually last about three hours).

Then the explanation of ideas begins, which is interrupted by a second step of slides, this vein formed mainly by drawings that are not related to each other. The show concluded with the reading of a self-referent text d'accomiadada that occupies the face of a sheet of paper.
