Artur Blasco and Cati Plana. 2 Stories
Artur Blasco and Cati Plana are two of the country's leading accordionists. In Tradicionàrius they present 2 Histories, a project based exclusively on research work in the Pyrenees, which Artur Blasco collected in the work “A pie dels camins del cançoner” (12 volumes, 1700 songs) and on his work on the recovery of the diatonic accordion in the 1960s. A repertoire accompanied by the voice as the main instrument, and accompanied by the diatonic accordion that adapts looking for a simple and clear sound.
Cati Plana: Diatonic accordion interpreter and teacher. Currently, he plays with the bands La Viu-viu, Adolfo Osta, duet with Pau Puig, OMAC and Clavellina d'Aire and teaches at ESMUC, the Folk School of the Pyrenees, the CAT Tradicionàrius, the Conservatory of the Pyrenees, the Aula de Sons de Reus and the Municipal School of Music of Tarragona.
Artur Blasco: Founder with Jordi Fàbregas of El Pont d'Arcalís, author of the work “A peu pels camins del cançoner” and the recovery of the diatonic accordion in Catalonia. Awarded with the Creu de Sant Jordi (2001) and the National Prize for Popular Culture (2004) for his research work “A pie dels camins del cançoner” and the recovery and diffusion of the diatonic accordion.
