When one speaks of Tinariwen, one speaks of the desert turned into music. With their long tunics and Tuareg turbans, the shesh, this collective born among the dunes of the Sahara is the origin of what is now known as desert blues, a style they call assuf, a word in the Tamasheq language that means' nostalgia 'or 'longing'.
After exchanging Kalashnikovs for guitars at the end of the Tuareg rebellion of the 1990s, Tinariwen turned their story into electric poetry: deep voices that resonate, guitars that vibrate and rhythms that beat making them true rock 'n' roll rebels. Now we will have the opportunity to see them live on April 17 in La Paloma!
