Curator: Manuel Antonio Castiñeiras González
It is a tribute to the greatest and most international sculptor of the Catalan Romanesque, the Master of Cabestany — by some a true Picasso of the 12th century — and his masterpiece, the lost cover of Sant Pere de Rodes, in the Port de la Selva (1160-1170).
The exhibition will bring together more than one hundred pieces of sculpture, painting, illuminated manuscripts, drawings and documents from museums, libraries and national and international archives (Cluny, Toulouse, Avignon, Paris, Pisa, Cremona, Rome, Turin, London), with the particularity of including unpublished works and documents.
